Linux have some excellent tools available for sound recording and editing.
Ardour is what I use personally for recording, editing etc and it is comparable to Protools for those
who work in windows. Jamin is available for Loudness mastering.

Problems and solutions:
Problem: Playing back a recorded track was jerkey.
Solution: Install Jack Control, called "qjackctl" in the repositories. Use Jack control to do the
following:


Checked Monitor
Set frames/period to 512
Set periods/buffer to\ 3
Changed the interface to hw:1 - hw:1 is the address for my Behringer UCA200
