Repositories

Ever had to rebuild your machine and had to download all your applications again? Or even
building a new machine and dont have the deb files?
Overcome this by building your own cd or dvd repositories by making use of AptOnCD. This is a
nice application and uses whatever deb files located in your /var/cache/apt/archives directory to
build a repository. What I normally do is copy these deb files to another location after a installation
and whenever I'm ready to build my repository disk, I just copy them back.
Next time you need these debs, insert the disk you created and add it as a repository in System >
Administration > Software sources > Third-Party Software.
